The British Wheel of Yoga: Marketing and Administrative Assistant Vacancy The British Wheel of Yoga is recruiting for a meticulous, highly organised, and energetic Marketing and Administrative Assistant to join a leading, forward thinking, and dynamic yoga organisation. The BWY was founded in 1965 and as The National Governing Body for yoga is committed to promoting a greater understanding of yoga, its safe practice through experience, education, study, and training. Previous marketing experience is not mandatory but would be beneficial. The successful candidate will be working with the Marketing Manager and Creative Team on a whole host of different and exciting projects. Please note this role is home-based, so you will need to have suitable working space and reliable internet provision.ResponsibilitiesUndertake daily administrative tasks for the Creative Team.Monitoring and reporting of competitor activity across all channels.Assisting Marketing Manager with developing press pack and dealing with press requests.Updating and making recommendations for website changes.Monitoring of google analytics and reporting.Dealing with member enquires from communications.Assisting with planning social media content.Monitoring and publishing all press/media coverage.Assisting the development and management of photo/video library.Co-ordinating testimonials/ specialist teacher information for website.Contributing to creative planning process.Support in the design, production, and distribution of member literature.Conduct market/member research and analyse response.Assistance with the organisation of BWY events (liaison with third parties, production of written comms, merchandise, and general co-ordination).Help in co-ordinating approved supplier list (photography print, production).Proof reading of magazines newsletters and website content.Work closely with internal and external stakeholders.Support Central Office Admin Team if the need petenciesEssentialExcellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.Thorough knowledge of MS Office.Degree in English, Marketing, Media, or Communications, although other specialisms will be considered. An interest in yoga.Excellent communication skills with a people orientated approach.A strong attention to detail.Ability to work independently from home.The ability to problem solve and suggest creative solutions.The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a large workload.Willing to be flexible in respect of day to day duties and hours worked.DesirableAn aptitude for data and analytics – an understanding of google analytics.Previous experience in working in the charity/voluntary sector preferred.Marketing specific qualification Experience in website design, SEO and social mediaThis role is for 37.5 hours per week. Home based permanently, but you will need to attend some meetings at Head Office in Sleaford (Approx. 4-6 times per year). It is also a requirement to attend our annual event, Sangha, which is held over a long weekend in April (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). You may also be needed to support team for very occasional evening/weekend work.
