MLS Rule 12.5 Misuse of Remarks. Participants and subscribers may not use the remarks in a property data profile sheet or listing, submitted to the MLS or inputted directly into the MLS database, for purposes of disparaging other real estate agents, or conveying information about other offices, or for conveying any other information that does not directly relate to the marketing of the listing. Remarks are for public information. The following are prohibited from being displayed in the public remarks, including, but not limited to:

occupancy information, showing instructions, owner information, tenant information, agent/office information, access information to the property, phone numbers to recorded information, [added per BOD 9/28/05] any other confidential information.

The branding of Virtual Tours, photos or any images shall be prohibited in the MLS. If prohibited uses are discovered by A.O.R. staff, the listing agent shall be contacted to modify and/or remove the prohibited remark within forty-eight (48) hours of notification. If said remarks have not been amended within this time frame the listing shall be subject to removal from the MLS.
