V. Presidents report: September 20 is the membership deadline. Please renew your membership ASAP if you have not done so. A review of S & E fees by district was made with the note made that are fees are on the low side and our Judges honorarium has not changed since 2003. The motion was made by George Dugan to raise the fees for each solo and ensemble event $2.00 and raise the judge’s honorarium to $150.00. Support by Jeremy Connin. After some minor discussion the motion carried. Discussion was held about some FIC committee rule changes. Music Ed connection has been a good resource for helpful professional growth. The PED project was mentioned with its tip reminders for different instruments. A month to month checklist is available to aid you in your school year to help you be proactive and not miss deadlines. Jessica will send out a link to these helpful aids in your email. Other discussion was held about All State and students returning to rehearsals. Director development days will be held November 18-19 in Dearborn. The adjudicator hiring deadline has changed and we may now start hiring judges May 1st. Please complete adjudicator evaluation documents for state solo and ensemble and band and orchestra. A review of the rubric to be used for band festival and the way ratings are processed was reviewed. This change does take place this year!

All state auditions will take place in Cedarville but Alan will be changing when he will do recordings to probably Sunday to make recording those auditions work better in his schedule.
