The bus will depart approximately every 15 minutes until 5:30 PM. 5:00 PM - 8:00PM Join us for our Welcome Reception at the Jack Nicklaus Museum for Cocktails, Appetizers and Museum Tour. 7:30 PM Bus departs Jack Nicklaus Museum to return to the Marriott. 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM Keynote Speaker Dana Lee Cole, Hardwood Federation Dana will discuss the Real American Hardwood Promotion, a timely marketing campaign for the Appalachian Hardwood Industry.

9:30 AM - 10:00 AM State of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Steve Gray, Assistant Director ODNR Assistant Director Gray will update the OFA membership on the department's activities and direction, especially as it relates to Forestry and Wildlife.

10:00 AM - 10:30 AM State of the Division of Forestry Dan Balser, Chief, ODNR, Division of Forestry Chief Balser willl update attendees on the programs and activities of the Division of Forestry.

10:30 AM - 11:00 AM Networking Break/Visit with Exhibitors/Silent Auction

11:00 AM - 11:45 AM *811 Regulations for Ohio Marathon Petroleum and Ohio 811 Oil and Gas and OHIO811 professionals will discuss all things related to rules and regulations on any type of dirt excavation. From logging around oil and gas lines, to digging a hole for your mailbox post. We may even play a little "Wheel of Fortune" in this presentation.

11:45 AM - 1:45 PM Awards Luncheon Share in the presentation of the annual awards to the Tree Farmer of the Year, Ohio Logger of the Year and those who have made special contributions to Ohio Forestry. The Ohio Tree Farm Committee will hold a fund raising raffle during the luncheon.

2:00 PM - 2:45 PM Woodland Ownership/Timber Trespass & Theft Jim Savage, Attorney and Tree Farmer Mark Rickey , ODNR - Division of Forestry Jim and Mark will discuss the various forms of property ownership and talk about the issue of timber trespass and theft, bringing us up to date on the current happenings in this regard.

2:45 PM - 3:15 PM The Latest with American Chestnut Restoration Sara Fitzsimmons, The American Chestnut Foundation There has been a lot of work done to create an American chestnut that is blight free. There have been some recent adjustments in this regard and Sara will be updating us about the current status of restoring the American Chestnut to the American landscape.

3:15 PM - 3:45 PM Networking Break/Visit with Exhibitors Tree Farm Silent Auction Bidding Closes

3:45 PM - 4:30 PM Is it Time to Harvest Your Timber? How Do You Know? Dave Apsley, Natural Resources Specialist, Ohio State University Extension Harvests are a key part of managing woodlands and Dave will be sharing how to best handle this part of managing our woodlands.

4:30 PM - 5:30 PM Forest Carbon Sequestration Gary Kaster, Forest and Carbon Project Services, LLC and Cassie Ridenour, Ohio Tree Farmer Climate change and carbon sequestration are much discussed topics and Gary and Cassie will discuss carbon sequestration starting with the basics to give us all a better understanding of this subject.

5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

President's Reception Join us for hors d'oeuvres and cocktails and spend some time visiting with our exhibitors. Winning bidders in the Tree Farm Silent Auction may pay for and pick up their merchandise during the reception.
