The Blind Side and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs

The Blind Side and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs

As you watch the movie take notes on the following page. Make sure you have multiple examples for each need category. When finished complete the following writing assignment.

Writing prompt:

How is Michael Oher’s life a good example of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs? Make sure you identify specific examples from the movie that shows Michael lacking certain needs as well as Michael fulfilling those needs. Each category of needs will need to be addressed in your paper with at least 2-3 examples from the movie. (It’s okay if the self-actualization category doesn’t have as many examples). Make sure you include your notes pages with this.

Reflect on your own life in terms of Maslow’s Hierarchy, what examples do you have for each category? If you are comfortable with sharing-it are there any categories that might be lacking? Explain what you hope to achieve in the self-actualization category? What might make this possible?

Due: 11/23/15
