The anticipated date of appointment is June 2021.The Department of Educational Leadership offers graduate programs in Higher Education, PK-12 Leadership, and Sport Management. These programs include Masters of Art in School Leadership; Masters of Education degrees in Higher Education and Student Affairs, and Sport Management; an EdD in PK-12 Educational Leadership; and a PhD in Higher Education Studies and Leadership. We are committed to preparing men and women for research careers and for executive leadership in PK-12 schools, school districts, state and federal agencies through exceptional teaching, school system and agency partnerships, the utilization of research-based practices for school improvement and student success, and the integration of scholarship and practice. The primary responsibilities of this position include:Directing the MA in School Leadership program;Teaching in the MA in School Leadership and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership;Supervising interns and establishing school and district partnerships and placements;Participating in individual or collaborative activities to secure external funding;Recruiting and advising students; andProviding service to the department, university and the profession.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:?Consistent with the stated mission of the University to be a world-class institution dedicated to Christian principles and ideals, the qualifications for the position include:Doctoral degree in Education (Ed.D. or Ph.D.);Evidence that Christian faith is foundational to leadership philosophy and practice;Demonstrated success of working with public and/or private schools;Experience working with state certification requirements and supervision;Commitment to working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations;Willingness to work collaboratively with other faculty, students, and staff as a program director;Evidence of significant educational leadership experience in PK-12 school systems as a teacher, principal, director, superintendent, university administrator, or a combination of experiences; and,Expertise in key academic area(s) that would enhance the department’s national reputation (e.g., School Law and Governance; School Administration; Administrative Theory and Educational Leadership; School Business Management and Finance).SUBMISSION DEADLINE:?Review of applications will begin immediately and be accepted until the position is filled.APPLICATION PROCEDURE:?Candidates should include the following in their application materials: a letter of application that addresses the position qualifications and responsibilities; curriculum vitae; and copy of transcripts documenting terminal degree (original required prior to on campus interview).
