Quick Takes: Calculators in the Classroom

Both 'real world' problems and Sr. High school math courses require students to be able to be good at 'mental math'. You can't expect to pull out your calculator every time you need to multiply 6 times 8, and if you have to use a calculator in grade 10 math to do problems like -6 + 8, you won't finish the tests! ................
