MBA Summer School The EBS Business School offers a MBA Summer School entitled: "Successful Leadership in Europe" Course Period: May 09 - 27, 2011 Three week programme 100% English. Academic credits (10 ECTS) for the successful completion of the programmeImportant topics such as European integration & monetary unification, environmental policy, EU extension, business leadership and European financial markets within an international context.Challenging case study discussions and lectures by leading experts in their fieldsCorporate visits: the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, Amazon and 1 other major company.Exciting social and sightseeing activitiesLocation: main EBS campus, Schloss Reichartshausen in Oestrich-Winkel (Frankfurt area), Germany, nestled among vineyards and minutes from the banks of the Rhine River at the very heart of Europe.The course is ideally suited for MBA students, however, Master's students in economics, business management, law, or related fields may also apply.?Lectures & Case StudiesThe first part of the Summer School will cover the economic and political environment of international business in Europe. A complementary introductory German language course will be offered during the first week of the programme, although all lectures, activities and tours are all conducted in English. The second phase will lay out specific strategies for doing business in Europe, touching on such areas as: Social, economic and political issues in the European business Corporate governance and leadership in European businessesNew markets in Eastern EuropeLeadership styles and Human Resource Management in EuropeChallenges in the competitive European business marketCompany visitsThanks to the unique EBS network of corporate partners, we offer visits to: The European Central Bank, Frankfurt, Amazon and one other major company (tba)Organized Social ActivitiesVarious events are organized during your three-week stay. They include: A movie eveningA tour and wine-tasting seminar at a venerable old abbey.Visit to a micro beer brewerySighseeing in different parts of Germany, connected to the company visits? In addition, the programme allows enough free time for leisure time and the chance to explore Germany and neighbouring countries on your own. There will be an extended weekend (Sat/Sun/Mon) and students are encouraged to visit neighbouring countries such as France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
