Lloyd Sederer, M.D., Adjunct Professor

Lloyd I. Sederer, MD, is Adjunct Professor at the Columbia School of Public Health; was for 12 years the Chief Medical Officer for the NYS Office of Mental Health, the nation's largest state mental health agency - and continues there as Distinguished Psychiatrist Advisor; and Contributing Writer for Psychology Today, the NY Journal and Washington Independent Review of Books & the NY Daily News, among other publications. He was Medical Editor for Mental Health for the HuffPost, where over 250 of his posts were published. He has served as Mental Health commissioner for NYC; Medical Director/EVP for McLean Hospital, a Harvard teaching facility; and as Director of Clinical Services for the American Psychiatric Association. He has written hundreds of articles on mental health and addictions. He also has had book, film, TV and theatre reviews and has published a dozen books.

Dr. Sederer is the 2019 recipient of the Doctor of the Year award from The National Council on Behavioral Health. He is a Co-Founder of SessionTogether. He recently created and now directs Columbia Psychiatry Media.

Hyong Un, M.D., Chief Psychiatric Officer

Hyong Un is the Chief Psychiatric Officer for Aetna and leads Aetna's Employee Assistance Program. Un has been with Aetna since January 2002. In his role, Un supports the development of behavioral health care strategy as well as the development of innovative behavioral health disease and care management programs that promote overall optimal health and integration of behavioral health with medical management. Un also has strategic, programmatic, operational and financial oversight of Resources for Living, Aetna's Employee Assistance-Program.

Prior to joining Aetna, Un was the Psychiatrist-in-Chief of Friends Hospital, the nations' first private psychiatric hospital and Chief Medical Officer for Penn-Friends Behavioral Health System of the University of Pennsylvania. Un's clinical interests and expertise include behavioral and psychosocial determinants of overall health and productivity as well as fields of neuropsychiatry and psychopharmacology.

Un serves on numerous national committees including advisory board to the Director of National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), Workplace Mental Health Board of the American Psychological Association (APA), and National Centers of Excellence for Depression, and is also a member of the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Un graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Medicine and completed his residency at the Hospital of the University of the University of Pennsylvania.

Benjamin Miller, PsyD, Chief Strategy Officer

Well Being Trust

Dr. Benjamin F. Miller, PsyD is the Chief Strategy Officer for Well Being Trust, a national foundation committed to advancing the mental, social and spiritual health of the nation. Prior to joining Well Being Trust, Dr. Miller spent 8 years as an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine where he was the founding Director of Eugene S. Farley, Jr. Health Policy Center. Miller is also currently an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in the Stanford School of Medicine

Dr. Miller has been a principal investigator on several federal grants, foundation grants, and state contracts related to comprehensive primary care and mental health, behavioral health, and substance use integration. He led the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's Academy for Integrating Behavioral and Primary Care project as well as the lead investigator on the Sustaining Healthcare Across Integrated Primary Care Efforts (SHAPE) project.

He received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. He completed his predoctoral internship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where he trained in primary care psychology. In addition, Miller worked as a postdoctoral fellow in primary care psychology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health.

Dr. Miller has written and published extensively on enhancing the evidentiary support for integrated models, increasing the training and education of behavioral health providers in medical setting, and the need to address specific health policy and payment barriers for successful integration. Miller is a past President of the Collaborative Family Healthcare Association, a national no-for-profit organization pushing for patient-centered integrated health care, a faculty for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and currently a Board Member for Mental Health Colorado. He has received numerous awards for his work on mental health and integration. A highly sought out public speaker, Dr. Miller has presented around the world on the need to better integrate mental health with health care.

He has been featured in numerous media outlets including NBC News, USA Today, NPR, PBS News Hour, and many more.
