SUMMARY OF CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRY EXPERIENCE (beyond General Psychiatry Residency training): 1990-2007

• December, 1992 to June, 1998 (Cody, Wyoming): I was the Medical Director of West Park Behavioral Health Clinic, which, as the first psychiatrist to have ever worked in Cody (and the entire Big Horn Basin area) I developed and ran. I was the only psychiatrist in the northwest corner of Wyoming, serving a population of about 45,000 people. I saw many children and teenagers on a regular basis for both medication management and/or psychotherapy (approximately 10-12 kids per week) for the five and half years that I was in Cody. Approximately 95% of those visits were outpatient visits, with the remainder being inpatient.

Moreover, I consulted for the Washakie Mental Health Service in Worland, Wyoming for about six years, regularly providing medication management services for the children and teenagers seen there (totaling several hundred child and adolescent outpatient visits over that period of time).

• June, 1998 to June, 2002 (Casper, Wyoming): While at the Wyoming Behavioral Institute (WBI) for 1.5 years, I regularly saw children and teenagers on both an outpatient and inpatient basis. I continued to regularly see children and teenagers in my private practice for both medication management and/or psychotherapy after leaving WBI, seeing about 10 - 12 kids per week until leaving Casper. I was also the consulting and supervising psychiatrist for the Youth Crisis Center (YCC) in Casper, providing supervision for Anastasia Sarbach, M.A., who is a master’s level counselor there. The YCC Director, Dick Dreising, asked me to continue providing telephone supervision for Ms. Sarbach and I have continued to do so to the present day. In addition, I regularly consulted for Juvenile Detention facilities in both Casper, Wyoming and Cheyenne, Wyoming, seeing mentally disordered teenagers who were in trouble with the criminal justice system.

• April, 2005 to December, 2006: I consulted at Cornerstone Behavioral Health in Evanston, Wyoming, seeing children and teenagers there for medication management services (about ten per week).

• January, 2007 to the Present Day: I currently see a few kids on a charitable basis in Evanston, Wyoming and Park City, Utah.

• From 1990 through 2009: I provided forensic psychiatry consultation in many legal cases (both civil – such as child custody disputes – and criminal) and school consultations involving children and teenagers. I also have provided numerous professional presentations to various audiences on subjects of relevance to child and adolescent psychiatry.
