The knowledge obtained during this course will provide the skills required for recognizing hazards, using equipment, and implementing techniques necessary to operate safely and effectively at incidents involving persons injured or entrapped in a typical vehicle commonly found in the jurisdiction. Fire Service Hydraulics & Apparatus Operations Refresher

This 3-day class is designed for the firefighter that wants to refresh their skills at pumping and driving the fire apparatus. It consists of reviewing written materials and hands on training. This class will cover theoretical formulas, test taking skills and include practical hands on training. It will also cover the rough rule methods for pumping the apparatus. The student will also have the opportunity to drive the NFPA 1002 course. Anyone that will be taking a promotional test should take this course to better his or her chances.

Forcible Entry with Vent Enter Search

As the forcible entry team, you have the pressure of the entire fire ground on you. The door must be opened to allow searches and hose advancement to happen. This class will give you the confidence as if you have the "keys to the city" when faced with any forcible entry challenge. Students will start with the basics and progress towards real world forcible entry challenges. Participants will have a great understanding on the "whys" of forcible entry. This class is 100% conventional techniques and will focus on repetition to build a good forcible entry foundation. Our through-the-lock and passive entry rotation will be hands-on and detailed, insuring participants have a sound understanding of pulling and manipulating locks. Students will end the day with a live smoke forcible entry scenario, forcing several doors in tight quarters. This class is for any firefighter or fire officer wanting to know the details in forcible entry and will give them the skill to tackle any challenge.

Trench Rescue: Operations & Technician

This course combines the 24-hour Trench Rescue Operational level with the 16-hour Technical level. It teaches the necessary knowledge to mitigate incidents involving trench or excavation collapse. Topics include hazard recognition, proper equipment use, and techniques to operate safely and effectively at excavation emergencies involving collapse or failure of intersecting and non-intersecting trenches with an initial depth of 8 feet or less.

Course in advanced rope rescue systems satisfies the requirements of NFPA 1640 4-4 Rope Rescue Technician. medium and low pressure bags, plasma torches, oxyacetylene torches, and exothermic torches
