Performs emergency, routine and preventive maintenance primarily at the MDOT pump stations, may work in other areas of the Unit’s responsibilities such as moveable bridges and rest areas. 15.Please describe the assigned duties, percent of time spent performing each duty, and what is done to complete each duty.List the duties from most important to least important. Individual tasks related to the duty.Diagnose mechanical problems at pump stations Fabricate and install hatches, stairs and appurtenances within the pump station structureRemove, repair, rebuild and replace various types of storm water pumps and controlsAssist electricians with replacement of components within the pump station Use various hand heavy power tools, as well as stick type arc welders and cutting torches Complete work orders of assigned tasks, providing labor hours, materials used through the Departments Transportation Asset Management System (TAMS) Respond to pump station emergencies when contacted by supervisorDuty 2General Summary of Duty 2% of Time40Perform preventive maintenance of pump stations.
