Med Center Health recognizes the importance of early detection and prevention of communicable disease in the health care setting to reduce the transmission of infections from patients to health care personnel and from personnel to patients.

During the new hire appointment at Employee Health Services (EHS), each new hire is given examples of illnesses that are communicable and can be transmitted to their patients.

It is the responsibility of all employees to report to EHS if a communicable illness is suspected.
