PRO Sports Club Appearance Standard for Students

PRO Sports Club Appearance Standard for Students

Our appearance reflects the pride we have in our Company. To favorably impress our customers, members of the public, and industry representatives, it is important for all PRO Club representatives (including Students and Interns) to present a professional appearance. To encourage our team to present a positive and professional image, PRO Sports Club has established the following standards of dress.

Polo Shirts: Students will be provided PRO Sports Club white Polo Shirts on their first day

Pants: Dark Blue dress pants/slacks with a black belt are required. We will provide a pant option if needed. If you purchase or have pants yourself, they must be a polyester blend (not all cotton)

Hair

Hair must be neat, clean, dry, and groomed. Coloring of hair is permitted; however, “non natural” colors, such as green, purple, blue, or stripes, are not allowed. “Engraved” hairstyles are not allowed. Women’s hair may be of any length, but styling must be safe for the work area. Men’s hair should not be longer than the top of a polo shirt collar nor cover more than half of the ear. When working around equipment or in Food & Beverage, women’s hair must be tied back for safety and sanitation purposes.

Sideburns and Facial Hair

For men, groomed mustaches are permitted. No “handlebar” or “Fu Manchu” styling. Beards and the “unshaven look” are not permitted. Sideburns for men must be neatly trimmed and may extend to the bottom of the earlobe. No flared or “mutton chop” sideburns.

Gum Chewing

Gum chewing is prohibited on PRO Sports Club premises when in uniform.

Jewelry

Jewelry can potentially be hazardous in a health club setting if it is too large. For safety and appearance, jewelry should therefore not be worn to extreme. Two rings per hand, maximum, and one necklace are permitted. One thin chain or necklace is permitted and may be visible if worn inside the polo. Women are allowed one set of earrings not to exceed the size of a dime, including any dangling portion; maximum of one earring per ear, to be worn anywhere on the ear. Earrings are not permitted on men. Visible facial jewelry or other body piercing, such as nose rings, eyebrow or tongue rings, are not permitted. One bracelet per arm is permitted. Safety considerations may require removal of jewelry, at management’s discretion.

Make up

Make up, if worn, should be in good taste to create a healthy, wholesome appearance. Extremely dark lipstick, such as black or burgundy, is not allowed. Eyeliner, eye shadow, and mascara should be in conservative colors. Visible tattoos are not permitted.

Tattoos

Tattoos are allowed as long as they are completely covered by the uniform and are not visible in any way.
