We are so proud of ? and grateful for - our team! We're generally a very positive group but like everyone, we need a bit of a boost some days. With this in mind, we started 2019 by launching The Gratitude Initiative, and it's been incredible. We're Thankful That: (MIAW (Mental Illness Awareness Week) Is October 6 ? 12, 2019

Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW) is an annual national public education campaign designed to help open the eyes of Canadians to the reality of mental illness. The week was established in 1992 by the Canadian Psychiatric Association, and is now coordinated by the Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health (CAMIMH) in cooperation with all its member organizations and many other supporters across Canada. We're Thankful Also That October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The current 5-year survival rate is now 87%, due in large part to research advancements that have improved early detection, diagnosis and treatment. But there's still more work to do. Breast cancer continues to be the most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related death among Canadian women.

An estimated 26,300 Canadian women and 230 men will be diagnosed this year. That's 72 women every day. Awareness is key to turning this around.
