• Youth Led Prevention

Youth-Led Prevention (YLP) is a comprehensive program for youth that engages educators, parents and communities by combining environmental and individual prevention strategies to support the positive attitudes, choices and behaviors of youth in our community.  YLP enhances protective factors using peer to peer prevention, service learning/community service, and positive youth development and empowerment to promote the highest mental, emotional and behavioral well-being of youth.   Youth are locally integrated into all prevention programing including LCCA activities through their involvement with It Stops With Students (ISWS) at Navigator, Students Taking a New Direction (STAND) at Pathfinder, and Students Leading Students (SLS) at Pinckney Community High School.  Students meet regularly to promote non-using attitudes and healthy behaviors for youth.  For more information contact Sandra Parker at Sandra@ or 248-343-3769.
