3,181 g/tonne Silver and 27.95% Zinc Intercept in the TM zone at the Silver Hart Mine Site

Vancouver, B.C.: CMC Metals Ltd. (the “Company”) is pleased to release the results from the TM zone drilling at the Silver Hart Mine site that is currently being permitted for an 80 tonne per day mill. A total of 11 drill holes were completed between July 26th to September 12th, 2007. The following results are for the TM zone that is being permitted for production. The focus for the 2007 drilling in the TM zone was on confirming historical data. Also, one drill hole was place in the proposed mill site to verify that the area is a “dead zone” and wouldn’t sterilize any potential ore shoots. The following are the highlight sample analysis from the TM zone drill holes:

ACME Analytical Laboratories Ltd. in Vancouver conducted sample preparation and analysis. Sample analysis was by seven acid total digest (7TD), and analyzed by ICP-ES method. Standard samples and blanks were used for quality assurance and quality control for sample analysis. Assay intervals reported is core length intersect intervals. Based on an observed vein dip of -72 degrees, true width is 89 percent of the core length.

In comparing the 2007 drill intercepts to the twinned 1985 historical drill equivalent intercepts, the 2007 drill intercept average width is 18 percent greater than the historical drill data. This is partly due to the greater core recovery factor and sampling intervals taken. Average lead grades increased 3.9% from the historical intercepts (2.62% lead for 2007 verses 2.52% lead for the historical intercepts). Zinc grades showed a substantial 22.0% increase from the historical data (17.19% zinc for the 2007 verses 14.09% zinc for the historical intercepts). Silver value comparisons also increased. Average silver grades increased 8.9% from the historical intercepts (1,269 g/tonne silver for 2007 verses 1,166 g/tonne silver for the historical intercepts). Between the 2005 and 2007 TM zone drill data, the Company has concluded that with the improved drill technology, sampling and focus on including the zinc values, the historical data used to develop the proposed mine approach is valid and presents the opportunity to improve the mill head grades. A NI43-101 Technical Report for the Silver Hart Mine site that includes a historical resource estimate can be viewed on the Company website at cmcmetals.ca .

Additional drill data will be released on the M zone as soon as the last drill hole data has been assayed. The M zone has a trench exposure of massive galena over a 21.3 meter strike distance and an average width of 1.2 m. Historical trench samples graded 1,564 g/tonne silver, 20.65% lead and 1.54% zinc. The 2007 exploration program is the first drill data to delineate the M zone structure. It will provide additional feedstock to the mill once it has defined the structural boundaries.

The Company would also like to announce that it has granted up to 225,000 common shares pursuant to incentive stock options for granting to certain individuals under the Company’s 2007 Stock Option Plan, which Plan received shareholder approval at its March 30, 2007 Annual General Meeting. The options will be granted at the exercise price of $0.70 per share for a two year period, subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval.
