| 14. General Summary of Function/Purpose of Position |

|This position serves as the SAP BASIS / HANA Administrator for the Michigan Department of Treasury’s SAP Systems and Applications. SAP is used by the Michigan|

|Department of Treasury to administer the Michigan Integrated Tax Administration System (MiITAS), which is a critical, internal application and contains a |

|critical, public-facing web application portal associated with political fallout in the event of failure. This position serves as the technical expert |

|responsible for orchestrating the placement and interaction of application and system components, to meet the agency business requirements, while ensuring |

|alignment to strategic initiatives and requirements for cost control, standardization, security, and enterprise compliance. The SAP BASIS / HANA Administrator|

|is responsible for the technical architecture, management and strategic alignment for the SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Enterprise Portal, SAP Enterprise |

|Resource Planning, SAP Fiori, SAP GRC, SAP Process Integration, SAP Solution Manager, SAP CRM and SAP Hybris systems. Additionally, this position must ensure |

|that SAP Lumira, SAP GUI, SAP Analysis, SAP Query Designer, SAP Development Studio, SAP WEB IDE, SAP HANA Studio, IBM Data Power and Michigan Treasury Online |

|applications are properly and efficiently integrated within each of the SAP COTS systems. |

|In addition to providing strategical analysis and recommendations for S/4, C/4, BW/4 HANA Conversion/Upgrades, Migration and OS/DB Conversion Projects, the SAP|

|BASIS / HANA Administrator will also provide technical expertise and leadership to BASIS Administrators and application development staff, by developing |

|operational and quality assurance standards and configuration management policies and procedures designed to meet State standards and promote security, and |

|audit processes to assure these are adhered to during all application development activities. S/4, C/4, BW/4, HANA are part of the SAP’s proprietary |

|technologies. This position will work directly with the Treasury Office of Privacy and Security to design security solutions for new systems, applications and |

|integrations; with Enterprise teams to design interfaces between new COTS packages and Enterprise Systems; and will represent the SAP System for all audit |

|activities |

|The SAP BASIS / HANA Administrator is responsible for ensuring Infrastructure services are secure, reliable and performing as needed by developing and |

|implementing strategies to ensure infrastructure and application patches and upgrades are being implemented in a timely fashion with low risk to other projects|

|in flight. |

|This position is responsible for maintaining the relationship with the selected Cloud hosting vendor and ensuring governance over the daily operation of |

|critical Infrastructure Services, network and application server availability. |

|This position must be able to function with a minimum of direct supervision and requires a high degree of direct contact with client leadership, program |

|managers and DTMB project and technology oversight groups. This position will serve as team lead, for a team of other BASIS Administrators, SAP ABAP Architects|

|and Designers, SAP BRF+ Designers, SAP BW Developers and support staff. |

|In a Specialist capacity, develop and manage the enterprise level architecture for all IT systems and projects within the scope of responsibility. Plan, |

|develop and administer architectural practice related policies and procedures. |

|Provide application architecture expertise as it relates to the development and integration of applications, security, middleware, services, database design, |

|development methodologies, and tools for all systems and applications within the SAP Environment used by Treasury |

|Lead and coordinate with Solution Architects to define the overall application design, implementation and integration of applications with other existing |

|applications/technologies/data sources on multiple platforms within the agency, across multiple state agencies, DTMB Office of Enterprise Architecture and with|

|multiple vendors. |

|Develop configuration and change management strategies that are in compliance with the DTMB Strategic Plan and DTMB and Treasury policies and standards. |

|Consult with application designers on proper application design and appropriate use of enterprise services. |

|Compile or design application architectural models across the client enterprise for use internally and in conjunction with third party technology partners. |

|Perform architecture design reviews across the Treasury organization. |

|Define, implement and maintain the SAP application architecture design methodology, and development and quality standards. |

|Ensure the implementation of security policies and configuration and change management procedures and standards in application architectures, designs, and |

|coding practices. |

|Understand and provide expertise to development staff and leadership teams related to Enterprise Security policies and standards. |

|Plan, develop and administer application design-related policies and procedures to promote high quality, accurate and reusable application designs. |

|Provide technical leadership, guidance and direction to Application Architects, Database Administrators, Programmer/Analyst(s) supporting application design, |

|database architecture and design and overall application and service architecture functions in client agencies. |

|Define and implement SAP Landscape-related Policies and Procedures in accordance with DTMB standards and methodologies. |

|Provide oversight of the daily operations for the SAP Cloud Hosting vendor |

|Develop, implement and maintain environment, configuration and change management policies and procedures and ensure adherence. |

|Review all released SAP Notes, security and performance patches and upgrades and coordinate with Treasury Office of Privacy and Security and the SAP Cloud |

|As the SAP BASIS Architect for the Michigan Department of Treasury’s SAP Systems and Applications, this position is strategically responsible for orchestrating|

|the placement and interaction of application and system components within the Department’s SAP landscape. This Specialist leads the migration to a |

|services-based architecture; compiles and designs architectural models of current and proposed applications across the client enterprise; performs design |

|reviews across the client organization; leads the evaluation of vendor software targeted for possible integration into the applications or environment; defines|

|and manages the IT application design methodology; surveys external emerging developments in application design and methodologies, and evangelizes new |

|techniques, technologies and standards; manages the development and maintenance of the client application architecture environment, and consults with |

|application designers on how to implement enterprise architecture components and resolve issues. |

|This division is responsible for providing system and programming development to multiple program areas within the client enterprise. The division must assess|
