Purpose of the Catalog

This Catalog provides information about Miami Dade College's academic programs and student support services. The Catalog contains summaries of College policies for academic areas, degree and certificate requirements, descriptions of support ser vices and course listings. Because the Catalog is produced for a two-year period, it does not necessarily contain all of the current policies and requirements. Prospective students and current students may verify these policies and requirements with an academic advisor.

Faculty and academic advisors provide aca demic advisement; however, students are responsible for fulfilling graduation require ments.The certificate or degree will be award ed only if all requirements have been met. It is important that students know the policies, requirements and procedures that they are expected to follow during their college career.
