Evaluation of Grade:

To determine your total grade, there will be online homework (15%), 3 regular semester exams (20% each), and a comprehensive final exam (25%). The score on the final exam will replace the lowest of the other 3 exams.

** UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THERE BE ANY MAKE UPS GIVEN.

Grading policy:

To determine your overall grade, use the following scheme:

A 90% - 100% C 70% - 79% F < 60%

B 80% - 89% D 60% - 69%

Assistance: You can obtain assistance for mathematics classes in the Mathematics laboratory, room 2223. There, you will find course-related videotapes and computer software, and tutors that can help you to successfully complete this course. The Math Lab is open these hours: MTWR 8:00 AM-9:00 PM, F 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. You do not need an appointment. The telephone number for the lab is 305-237-3834.

Attendance:

Attending class is highly encouraged. Students are expected to attend and participate in class. Students are responsible for all material covered in class. Students who attend class, and do not appear on the class roll will be asked to report to the Registrar’s Office to obtain a paid/validation schedule. Under no circumstances will you be allowed to remain in class if your schedule is not paid/validated.

Academic Misconduct:
