The purpose of secondary transition is to prepare the student with skills and experiences needed to fulfill his or her intended adult roles in living, learning and working. Compliance with state and federal requirements for secondary transition is detailed in the State Performance Plan, Indicator 13. This training is intended to provide participants with the information and skills to develop IEPs that are in line with the 8 elements of Indicator 13 and strategies, tools and resources for transition assessment and planning.

Please bring an actual student IEP with you to the training session. Your IEP will be for your reference only. There will be no public sharing of information on the IEP. Please feel free to black out names and personal information if this makes you more comfortable.
