? Safety re-organized and aligned the Health and Safety Institute training platform to increase efficiency

? COVID 19 Rapid tests arrived onsite in preparation for OSHA ETS. Writing COVID testing procedures, conducting research on training for testers

? First aid/CPR/AED certification courses set up for December, January, & February

December 25th ? 29th, Lineman worked tirelessly, safely, and efficiently over the Christmas Holiday to ensure that power was restored to homes affected by a winter snow and ice storm.

Lessons Learned

? Always follow through with your gut instinct and check out a precarious situation, in this case, a vehicle fire was prevented because wireman checked under the hood after noticing a voltage gauge fluctuation

? Ensure the right tool for the job is used correctly. Propane vapor was created when the shut-off valve may have malfunctioned and remained partially opened, the vapor was ignited, causing first degree burns to the face of an employee

? Slips, trips, and falls. Safety is continually reminding employees about the dangers of slick walking surfaces and encouraging them to don ice cleats provided by GVEA
