Outlet Store Hosts the First Kors for the Cure CampaignSEVIERVILLE, TENN. --- The Michael Kors Company will be hosting its first Kors for the Cure Campaign at the Five Oaks Tanger Outlet Mall in Sevierville, Tenn. beginning October 1, 2012, at 9 a.m. The American designer will be partnering with the Knoxville, Tenn. affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation to raise money for cancer research. Michael Kors has created a line of handbags for the campaign that will be released in outlet stores October 1, 2012. “We really want to create something that represents the cause. The handbags will come in three different styles: the Hamilton, Gansevoort and Hamilton clutch. Fifty percent of the profits will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Our team is thrilled to -more-be a part of such a fantastic cause,” said Executive Creative Designer, Patricia Holand. In addition to the handbag line, the Sevierville Michael Kors Outlet will be having a proceeds night once a week during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October 2012. These evenings will offer 20 percent off of all items in the store excluding the Susan G. Komen handbags. Sevierville local, Sarah Roth said, “I think it’s really great that such a large name in the fashion industry has decided to come to our town for part of the campaign. My mother is a breast cancer survivor and this means a lot to her and our family. These events are for a cause close to many hearts within our local communities.” The campaign’s main event will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012. It will include a 150-yard high-heeled dash down the parkway and a give-away contest after the race. The contest will consist of free Michael Kors’ merchandise. Items will range from small leather goods, watches and handbags priced up to $400.
