MLR Statewide Program Student Articulation Application

Conditions of Agreement for Student

1. All articulating students shall meet and maintain Delta entrance requirements. 2. Articulated credit will be granted at the discretion of the CTE Instructor (High School Teacher) for any Delta

AUTO course(s) listed on this application upon successful completion of the equivalent NATEF course at any MDE-OCTE (High School) institution with the NATEF MLR Level 1 Automotive Technician Program. Successful completion is validated by achieving a minimum grade of "2.0" in the course. The High School Teacher should feel confident that the student can successfully complete subsequent coursework at Delta. 3. Students may articulate up to the 24 credits (540 hours of class and lab time; the 80 hour Internship; and ASE G1 Testing) which is required in MLR Level 1 at Delta. Articulated courses will appear on the student's Delta transcript by course code and credit hours. No grades will be recorded. Articulated courses can be viewed on student's transcript through their Portal in Student Self-Service. 4. Any unfinished MLR Level 1 coursework can be completed at Delta. Visit the Counseling & Advising Center for more information. 5. Tuition and fees will not be charged for articulated courses under this agreement. 6. The student must have taken their last Auto course from the High School with a NATEF Automotive Technician Program no more than 27 months prior to enrollment at Delta to receive articulated credit. After 27 months the articulated credit will expire and not be available for articulation. 7. Only one MLR Statewide Student Articulation Application (MLR Application) should be submitted per student after their highest level of the High School NATEF Automotive Technician Program is completed.

Procedure to Articulate Some or All 24 Credits of the MLR Level 1 Program

1. The student or teacher should go to the Delta Articulation website (delta.edu/artic: scroll to Statewide Agreements...) and download the MLR Application and the MLR Internship Form, if Internship requirements have been met. You may also email the Articulation office for forms at artic@delta.edu

2. For the Internship, the student completes the student information on the MLR Internship Form and has the Supervisor of the Intern Facility to complete details on the intern and then the student takes the form to the High School Teacher to complete and process with the MLR Application.

3. On the MLR Application, the student completes the student information and then submits it to the High School Teacher to indicate which courses that the student has earned articulation credit prior to submitting the necessary documentation.

4. All paperwork must be submitted by the High School Teacher to be accepted. a. Completed MLR Application form b. Completed MLR Internship form if the Internship has been completed. (80 hours) c. Copy of the ASE Certification Testing - Note: The ASE GS-1 student test provided by many high schools is NOT equivalent to completing the ASE G1 Certification Test.
