U-M Prescription Drug Plan Temporary ID Card

If you need to fill prescriptions before you receive your University of Michigan Prescription Drug ID card from Magellan Rx, enter your name, the names of your eligible dependents, and your ID number on this temporary ID card, print it out and present it to a participating retail pharmacy along with your prescription to be filled.

If you have lost your ID card, please call Magellan Rx Member Services at 888-272-1346 or use the Magellan Rx self-service website to print your own card: umich.

Your ID card can be used at a local retail pharmacy or at Birdi, the university's mail order pharmacy. Mail service is a convenient and cost-effective way to have 90-day supplies of maintenance medications delivered to your home.

Your drug plan Member ID is the letter "U" followed by the eight digits of your UMID number with no space, followed by the person ID. For example, the cardholder Member ID would be U12345678-01.

To maximize your retail prescription drug benefit, present this temporary ID card and your prescription(s) to a participating pharmacy. In most cases, this will eliminate the need to file a reimbursement claim.

Only the person(s) named on this card and their eligible dependents may use this card to obtain prescription drug benefits.
