Humates - Did You Know?

Humates help build soil structure, increase soil porosity and

increase water holding and ion exchange capacity. Humates

bind and inactivate toxic compounds, and they stabilize and

buffer the leaching and burning associated with synthetic fertilizers. They also magnify their beneficial effect by increasing

nutrient uptakes.

They are instrumental in working with microbes for the

proliferation of root growth. MICROBE LIFE Humates are

derived from deposits based on the breakdown of green, leafy

vegetation.

Inadequate nitrogen is one of the most common reasons plants, lawns, trees and shrubs do not survive and thrive. That is why so

much inorganic nitrogen fertilizer is applied in gardening. Interestingly, about 78% of the air we breathe is made up of nitrogen,

yet plants and turf are unable to take up atmospheric nitrogen.

The nitrogen-fixing bacteria found in many MICROBE LIFE products converts atmospheric nitrogen, making it available to the
