Slide notes

Based on the Email or appointment a user viewing, the user can review sales information related to the email sender, or any of the recipients of the email, or any invitee for appointments. This information includes the account each person is associated with, and any related open opportunities or leads.

If needed, the user has convenient access to the sales records, and can easily keep the records up to date.

In cases where new sales records need to be created (for example, if an email indicates that there is a new lead), the user can easily create the new sales records from within Office 365.

Slide 56 - Implementation Decision Points

[pic]

Slide notes

Oracle Sales Cloud for Office 365 by default is setup in a way where Contacts, Appointments and Tasks do not sync bi-directionally between Microsoft Outlook and Oracle Sales Cloud. The Office add-in will still function where users can still see the Sales Cloud add-in while on an Email or Appointment, and share these with Oracle Sales Cloud. However, Contacts, Appointments and Tasks created in Oracle Sales Cloud will not sync to Outlook.

Slide 61 - Setup Best Practices

[pic]

Slide notes

Using Oracle Sales Cloud for Office 365 in R13, it is important to understand the following best practices.

Carefully review any customizations made on Contacts, Appointments or Tasks in Application Composer. Oracle Sales Cloud for Office 365 is not extensible, therefore, any customizations made on Contacts, Appointments or Tasks in Sales Cloud could cause adverse behavior. Specifically, fields made required in Application Composer for Contacts, Appointments or Tasks might not be exposed in Outlook, thus causing synchronization errors.

It is important to ensure that synchronization intervals set by the administrator are appropriate for the average number of records being synced. Synchronization errors can occur if a batch sync is triggered before a previous sync has been completed.
