Self-Service Password Reset Setup

Overview As of November 13th, 2019, Brock has a new self-service password reset process, making passwords easier and more convenient to reset. In order to use this feature, you will first need to enter some additional security information into Office 365 by completing a one-time security setup. You will be prompted to complete this security setup when you log into Office 365 for the first time after November 13th. Follow the steps below to aid you in successfully completing the process. NOTE: If you have already completed the security setup process and need instructions on how to reset your password, skip to page 7. What to Do

1. When logging into any Office 365 or any Office 365 app (Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.), users will be prompted with the following notification:

2. Depending on the browser you are using, you may be prompted to select your account. If so, click on your account.

3. On the next page, you will be presented with choices. These are alternate methods to authenticate (verify it's you) when resetting your password in the future. You only need to complete setup for ONE of the choices, depending on your preference. Authentication Phone ? Receive a text or voice message Authentication Email ? Receive an email to your non-Brock, personal email Security Questions ? Answer a set of security questions Click Set it up now/Set them up now beside your preferred method of authentication.

4. Follow the set-up process for the method you selected. This is an example of what the process looks like for the Phone option.

All done! Now, whenever you go to reset your password, Office 365 will verify it's you using the method you selected above. Manage Authentication Settings If ever you want to manage/change or your authentication settings, you can do so following the steps below.

1. Click on your initials in top-right corner of the main Office 365 page and select My Account (or go directly to ).
