Welcome!

This manual was created to help you understand the OnAir application and make the most out of your new adventure as an airline company CEO. In subsequent chapters, you will find details and instructions describing every page of the OnAir application (Windows as well as iOS and Android). Throughout this

document, you will also find useful Tips to help you navigate the OnAir World and make your

company more efficient and successful. Please also be on the lookout for Notes which contain important information that is essential for you to know. And if you see any bold orange text, it is either a link to another part of this document or a web url. OnAir Airline Manager is updated often with new features and gameplay balances so check back regularly at pany to make sure that you have the most recent version of this manual. Let's first get started with a quick overview!

What is OnAir Airline Manager?

It is a persistent online world in which you, as your company's CEO, manage your own airline. Your company could be a small local bush plane charter in the middle of Alaska, a regional airline covering a small part of Europe or a huge international conglomerate that offers services to the whole world...or anything else that you can think of. Your ambitions and goals are your only limitations. Here are some of the main features of OnAir Airline Manager:

Search for regular jobs, each with an expiry date/time and late delivery penalty, which are distributed by the Logistic Center and are available to all companies within the OnAir World. Remember to be on the lookout for jobs that are most relevant to your company's infrastructure...and the most profitable. Set up FBOs at airports in key locations and receive special Logistic Query job offers, based on your chosen parameters (size of job, distance, direction, etc.). FBOs also allow you to:

o Purchase fuel at wholesale prices, which you can use to refuel your aircraft or make it available to other players at a profit, if you like.

o Have aircraft tiedowns and hangars to save you on parking fees. o Have storage hangars to save you on cargo storage fees when you need to unload and

leave cargo at the airport. o Have workshops to service and repair your aircraft with the option to allow other

players usage of your facilities. o Have crew rooms for your employees to use while they rest, saving your company on

hotel fees. Take on Missions which are special jobs that never expire and are assigned to your company as it gains levels. Missions award large amounts of XP and encourage you to visit areas that you may not normally fly to. Use AI pilots in your company or fly jobs yourself in your simulator (currently FSX, Prepar3D and X-Plane 11 are supported and in the future, the new MS Flight Simulator, provided that the SDK allows it). You can also run your company with a combination of AI pilots and simulator flights. Accelerated time in your simulator is supported but will place you and your aircraft "in warp" until the actual time passes when the flight should be completed (this warp delay can be

disabled in the Global Settings if you are not playing in Survival Mode). Resume flight is also supported in case your simulator crashes. You can take care of other business in your company, even while you're flying and tracking in your simulator. Just do what you need to do; rent or buy aircraft, look for jobs, hire employees and assign jobs for them to fly and when you're done, resume your flight. There is no need to pause your flight while you are doing other things in OnAir as it will correctly resume tracking at your current location in the simulator. Each flight that you fly yourself in your simulator will award you with an amount of XP and eventually, your company will level up. When it does, you will gain skill points which you can use to unlock new features and bonuses for your company in the Company Skill Tree. If you are playing without a simulator, XP can also be gained by having your AI pilots complete Missions. Hire employees on the Job Market to work for your company on a long-term basis or as freelancers in the capacity of pilots, copilots, flight attendants and mechanics. Your employees' skills can also be trained to make them more efficient at what they do. Follow your company's aircraft, employees, cargo and passengers in real time on a Live Map. Set up Work Orders, which are designed to help take some of the micromanagement load out of your busy day as an airline CEO, by allowing you to create multiple leg flight schedules for your aircraft, which they will follow automatically on their own. Take part in special global community events, where all players are encouraged to participate in delivering cargo or passengers to key locations. Extra XP and credits are awarded for participation and a nice cooperative atmosphere is created as players work together for a common goal. Use a free companion Mobile App (iOS and Android) to access your Company Dashboard and the Logistic Center where you can search for and accept jobs, even when not at your home Windows PC. More features will be added to the mobile apps in future updates. Interact with other players by offering fuel and workshop services at your FBOs, selling and renting out of your aircraft and by using the Outsourcing feature where you can offer your accepted jobs (or parts thereof) to other players. Customize many settings to suit your playstyle and make running your company as easy or realistic as you like. There is even a Survival Mode in which any unrealistic options (like instant pilot transport) are disabled. Survival Mode will also give you access to the upcoming leader boards, where you can see how your company stacks up to other Survival Mode companies. Pause your company when you need to be away from it for an extended period of time to avoid paying loan and aircraft ownership costs and long-term hire employee salaries.

1. Setting up your Company

After setting up your account, the first time you launch OnAir you will be presented with the following page:

This is where you can enter all the initial details of your new company.

Company Name: Please choose a name that would not be offensive as it will be seen by other players. Airline Code: This 4-character code must be unique within the OnAir World and contain only letters and numbers. Pilot Pseudo: This is the name that you, the company CEO, will be known by. As with your company name, please choose one that would not be offensive to others. Pilot Birthday and Flight Experience: These are for your fictional CEO avatar and do not need to represent real world values. Initial Location: Select an airport ICAO code where you would like to begin your OnAir career. The first Mission for your company will be generated at this airport. You can change this location (your home base) later, if you like. Choose an avatar: Select a portrait to represent you. I don't use any simulator...: Check this box if you prefer to play only by using AI pilots. This will also allow you to use your own avatar to fly as if it was an AI pilot.

Difficulty Level: This determines how much equity your company will start with and what your company's initial reputation will be, which sets the maximum loan amount that you will be able to secure from the bank right away. In the near future, reputation will also affect the availability of certain jobs.

Starting Equity Starting Reputation Maximum Starting Loan Amount

Easy:

470,000.00

70%

1,190,000

Classic:

170,000.00

50%

250,000

Realistic:

70,000.00

30%

60,000

Company Pay Bonus: If you would like to speed up your path to riches, this is where you can

increase the amount of credits you will receive for completing jobs. The maximum bonus is 90%.

Activate Survival Mode: Activating this will enable Survival Mode which is meant for experienced

players or anyone who would like the most realistic experience while running their company.

Playing in Survival Mode will also place your company on the upcoming leader boards, where it

will be rated against other Survival Mode companies based on its Debt Ratio and ROA value.

Both of these are described in detail in the Company Ratios section of the Finances chapter. If

you turn on Survival Mode for your company, you can turn it off at any time, but you will not be

able to turn it on again for that company. In addition, the following unrealistic options are

disabled in Survival Mode:

o Instant player and employee transport

o Lower checkride difficulty

o Lower minimum aircraft rental hours

o Instant loading of cargo and passengers

o Instant unlocking of the entire Company Skill Tree

o Disabling of employees' need to rest

o Flying at any time/date in your sim - you can still adjust this to suit your preferred flying time by using the "Company UTC offset" in the Global Settings after you create your company

o Disabling the penalties for landing at airports outside of their normal operating hours
