Workshop Materials

❑ Trainer’s Guide: Using the DRDP (2015) for Special Education: Once you download all of the materials, start first by reviewing the Trainer’s Guide. The guide contains all of the information that you need to lead the workshop and provides step-by-step instructions for leading the activities.

❑ PowerPoint Slides: You will use the slides throughout the workshop.

❑ Handouts:

• DRDP (2015) Manual and Rating Record/Information Page: This is the full instrument that the participants will be using to assess children. Although it is a large document, having it available during the workshop is important and required to engage in the activities.

• Rating Practice Exercise Worksheets: The participants will need these documents to participate in the rating practice exercises. You are likely to only use three of these six exercises during any given workshop, so you may wish to only copy the pages that you plan to use. If you don’t want to make any changes, you can use the PDF version.

• Key Rules to Remember when Using the DRDP (2015): The participants should keep this document handy as it summarizes key points made throughout the session.

• Overview of the DRDP (2015) Fundamental View: This document describes the “Preschool Fundamental View of the DRDP (2015)” for use with preschool-age children with IEPs that will be in place beginning in fall 2016.

• Evaluation Form: The Evaluation Form is used to get feedback on the workshop from the participants. Please send the completed evaluation forms to the Desired Results Access Project at the address below.
