The Department of Veterans Affairs, VHA, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center is seeking potential sources that are capable of providing Microbiology Media, Kits, Reagents and Supplies, for Eastern Colorado Health Care System in Denver, CO, Pathology and Laboratory Department with the brand names, Remel, Quidel, Alere, Fisher, IMMY, Meridian and Zeptomatrix, for the Microbiology media (see list below). Offerors who can provide for all or some of the brand name items listed in Table 1 are invited to respond. NCO 19 is performing market research to determine if there is sufficient number of qualified (1) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB); (2) Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB); or (3) Small or emerging small business firms who can fulfill the requirement. This Sources Sought notice is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. All SDVOSB, VOSB, small and large businesses capable of fulfilling the requirement and proving for either all or some of the brand name items listed in Table 1 are invited to respond. NAICS code to be used for this acquisition is 325413. All interested firms who can meet the requirements stated below should respond, in writing, with information describing their interest, capabilities, geographic location and indicate which business category (SDVOSB, VOSB, Small Business, or Large Business) for which they qualify and all interested firms should indicate whether they have a NAC or GSA contract by replying with their applicable contract number. Interested firms should also indicate which brand name items listed in Table 1 can be provided (if not all of the brand name items can be provided). Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. Firms should respond in writing with which brand name items can be provided (if all cannot be provided):Contractor shall provide a full range/wide array of microbiology media, supplies, identification kits, biochemical reagents for rapid/full identification, ATCC quality control (QC) organism, and disposable supplies related to processing and complete work-up of specimens for microbiology cultures. Media, kits, reagents, and QC organisms are specific for required microbiology testing for patient specimens, and quality control requirement. See below for a complete list of media, kits, reagents and supplies needed, including information on which product items need to be in the brand name, Remel, Quidel, Alere, Fisher, IMMY, Meridian and Zeptomatrix. Media should meet the performance for: observing defined hemolysis, depth (deep media), freshness, colony morphology, cracks, dehydration, sterility, clear chromogenic observation of colony growth, formulation appropriate to the growth of specific organisms, performance and pH of susceptibility media.Offered media, kits, and reagents shall be Clinical Laboratory Standard Institute (CLSI), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), & Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved for patient testing.
