COMBAT AIR MUSEUM

Combat Air Museum was chartered in 1977 as “Yesterday’s Air Force”. It started with no aircraft, but a very dedicated group of people were determined to establish and operate an air museum. The name changed, and now the Combat Air Museum has 30 aircraft in its collection, representing four of the five U.S. Armed Services and two foreign-built aircraft.

The collection spans a time period from World War I through Desert Storm. While the aircraft are the main attraction to most visitors, the museum also has several missiles and military vehicles. A number of aircraft engines are also on display. Exhibits include a large collection of artifacts generously donated over the years to show history as more than pages in a book.

Informal restoration work is always underway on aircraft and other artifacts.

If you like to shop, the museum has a Gift Shop stocked with a variety of Aviation oriented items.

Our Mission:

Through the efforts of dedicated friends and volunteers, our mission is to provide a center for education and the preservation of military aircraft and artifacts by showing their importance to the world today.

A primary goal of the Combat Air Museum is to pay tribute to the men and women who have served our Nation throughout its history. We strive to provide an educational center and exhibits which show the history of military aviation and the development of aeronautical technology.

Your help as a member of the Museum shows your support of these goals and helps us to preserve and present our aviation heritage.

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

Members receive UNLIMITED FREE ADMISSION for one year. Come as often as you like!

Members receive a SEMI-MONTHLY NEWSLETTER to keep you informed of what’s happening at the museum.

Members receive a 10% DISCOUNT in the Gift Shop on hundreds of memorable and aviation-related items.

Every dollar the Combat Air Museum spends is “squeezed twice” to ensure it is spent wisely. Much of the money goes to the cost of maintaining and operating the hangars and to pay the small staff that keeps the museum open. As much as possible is spent to improve the museum in ways like:

Θ restore aircraft and military vehicles and preserve those in our care.

Θ protect the artifacts in our care and improve ways we exhibit them.

Θ provide aviation-oriented programs for young people.

If you desire to contribute a few dollars toward these programs, please add to your membership dues.
