Renewal

Your benefit must be renewed before your lease ends. To continue getting your DRIE benefit, mail your completed DRIE renewal application and include all required documents before the "End Date" stated on your Approval Order. The Department of Finance will mail you a renewal application approximately 60 days before your DRIE benefit expires. However, if for any reason you do not receive the renewal application, you must still submit a renewal application or your benefit will expire.

DRIE Ombudsperson

The Department of Finance now has a DRIE Ombudsperson whose job is to help identify and resolve issues with your application or benefits. The ombudsperson is here to help after you have completed the application process.

• Have you filled out and submitted an application for DRIE?

• Have you gotten a letter back from the Department of Finance about your application telling you that your application is approved, denied or pending?

• Does the letter have information about contacting the ombudsperson?

If you answer yes to all of these questions, you can reach out to the ombudsperson, David Crotty.

Reach out to the Ombudsman at:
