Term 1 Week 4 Wednesday 21st February 2018 Parent Information Session Thank you to all the parents who were able to attend our Parent Information Session last Tuesday. In the session we spoke about what apps/programs we are using in our school this year including Seesaw, Skoolbag, Google Suites for Education including Google Classroom and Minecraft: Education Edition. Login and download details went home with students for those parents who couldn't attend. After receiving parent feedback we have decided to run a "How to" session next term for those parents who are interested in learning how to use Google Suites for Education at home.

Behaviour Notifications From now on if your child receives a time out for not following our school core values a behaviour notification letter will be spent home. The letter will let you know what your child has done and how the issue was handled. There is a slip for you to sign and send back to school to let the staff know that you received the notification. Any serious or repeat issues will be handled with a phone call home.

Zone Swimming Carnival Good luck to our five swimmers tomorrow at Taree Aquatic Centre at the Zone Swimming Carnival. To Christian, Thomas T, Malia, Ajay and Felicity who are swimming freestyle age races and the PP6 relay race. Have fun, be great sports and do your best. We are very proud of your achievements.

P & C News

P & C EASTER RAFFLE P&C are asking for donations of Easter goods for our raffle this term. Tickets will be sent out soon and will be $1 each. If all families could contribute it would be greatly appreciated. The raffle will be drawn on the same day as the Easter hat parade at school.

Attached are the minutes of the last meeting, please read for any relevant information and dates of next meeting. Thank you to Anne and Simone, 2 new mums who joined us for the first time last week.

WWCC and Appendix 5

In addition to the WWCC volunteers have completed, can all family members who volunteer for any reason ensure they have completed an Appendix 5 form and produced 100 points of ID. If you need to do this please see Jodie in the office for the form and the ID requirement list that needs to be photo copied. Parents will not have to complete the WWCC check in future unless they are working in the area of child care in a paid capacity. Thank you for your continued support in this area. All active volunteer families need to return their Appendix 5 and ID ASAP. Thank you to the people who have provided this information already.

Gloucester Basketball New Junior Comp 2018

Gloucester Basketball would like to invite all current and new players for the new season. Starting date is Monday 26th February. Free coaching session for division 2, play starts at 3.30pm. Div 2 players (Primary School) games between 4pm to 5pm. Div 1 players (High School) games between 5pm to 6pm. Registration fees: Under 8 $20, 8-11 $60, 12-18 $70. Plus match fees of $5 per game. Gloucester & District Netball Association

A netball fun day and registration morning will be held on 24th February at the netball courts from 9am to 11am. Children turning 5 years of age in 2018 to students in Year 12 are elible to play Saturday netball. Teenagers turning 14 in 2018 are also eligible to play in the Mixed Twilight competition on Wednesday night. Names for Twilight need to be in by 16th Feb as we start on the 28th Feb. Names are being taken on our Facebook page or phone Sally. Saturday netball starts on 3rd March. There are 3 divisions.

NetSetGo for 5-9 years = $70 Junior Div for Year 3 to 6 = $75 Intermediate Div for year 6 to Year 12 = $75 Intermediate's playing Twilight = $100 inc fees for Twilight comp and Sat netball. All regos need to be completed online including payment (no cash taken at clubhouse). Gloucester Netball is registered for the Active Kids Program. An option to use your voucher is on the registration page.
