How to Install the Game on your PC

1) Go to Google and search "facebook app games" by typing it into the search bar. 2) Click on the second search result labeled: "Games ? Facebook".

Introduction

Minecraft first shot up in popularity at the end of 2014, when it was announced that Microsoft would purchase the game from Mojang, for $2.5 billion. Additionally, in early 2016, Microsoft announced its acquisition of MinecraftEDU and a new version of the game called Minecraft: Education Edition.

On June 2016, the pre-release of the Education Edition was made available. This is developed based on MinecraftPE's underpinning code, instead of the full and original Java MinecraftPE for computers, or even the EDU product. Take into consideration that PE, refers to personal edition for android devices, touch screens, etc.

Getting Started

NOTE: The following posts will be speaking of many different Minecraft versions. 1st look

I started by loading the game onto my Mac. The .zip folder didn't have a read me file or documentation. It didn't take time at all to install the program, so at least the set-up is user friendly. After launching the program, I had to log into the game using an Office365.

Initial exploration This edition comes with 55 skins for options, in addition to those of Steve and Alex. You can't actually import your actual identity skin, so you have to pick one of the options available.

I moved then to create a new world, with the specific preference of, survival.

The process of playing the game is as simple as expected. You move around, break and place block as you wish. I decided to break some word to create a craft block and some tools, and then went on to min iron and coal in a dark hole.
