WHAT IS CITY CHAMPS?

City Champs is a great way to make new friends and meet other local players and families who all love Minecraft--just like you.

Be part of a local league and team up with fellow Minecraft players in a national tournament. Play alongside your teammates as you collaborate, strategize and defend your city's pride against rival cities in this fun competition.

Seven different game modes allow players to showcase their Minecraft skills ? all on the big movie screen for parents to watch for free!

WHAT TO EXPECT

NEED HELP AT THE EVENT?

The fine men and women of the Action Squad are here to make sure your experience is awesome. ? Look for the orange shirts when you arrive. They will get you checked in and ready to play. ? They can help with any tech or event-related issues. ? They're the final call in any arbitration matters, so respect their decisions.

DAY ONE:

? Print your ticket or download to smartphone ? Charge your laptop - bring your power cord ? Make sure you have Minecraft 1.12.2 installed

(Java version only) ? Make sure you bring your computer password

and have your Minecraft username and account password ? You can bring your own peripherals if you like Mouse, headset, ? Appropriately sized keyboard ? Get to the venue at least 15 minutes early ? Sign in at the Super League Check-in Table, get your jersey and player pass ? Action Squad team will give you details and answer any questions ? Find your auditorium and sit anywhere there's a seat cover ? Log into your computer and the server ? You'll be randomly assigned to a team ? Meet your team and make new friends ? Learn about and practice the game modes ? Give and get unlimited high fives

Get to the venue at least 15 minutes early Be a good sport in-game HAVE FUN!

GAME MODES

SOCCER

Play soccer in a mini-tournament of three rounds. The team with the best win/loss record at the end of three games wins!

QUICK TIP: You can double jump by pressing spacebar twice. This jump also pushes you forward.

MAYHEM

Stay alive and get as many Kill Points as you can. The player with the most Kill Points wins!

QUICK TIP: Each kill is worth more points the longer you're alive, so start fights carefully.

ZOMBIES

Pick a hero and try to survive as many waves of Zombies and other nasty monsters as possible. The team to clear highest wave, within the time limit, wins.

QUICK TIP: Stay alive as long as possible.

DOMINATION

Secure and hold as many capture points as you can. Have the highest team score at the end of the time limit to secure victory.

QUICK TIP: You can capture points faster with more team members, but the point must be enemy-free.

WORKSHOP TNT

Build a TNT Cannon to destroy as much of your target as possible. The team that destroys the most target blocks wins!

QUICK TIP: Your cannon fires farther with more TNT, so load up as much as you can before firing!

WALLS

Damage enemy team crystals, while defending your own, using traps and items. If your team's crystal received the least amount of damage, you win!

QUICK TIP: Kill the Pigmen in your dungeon to get emeralds. Emeralds can be exchanged next to your crystal to bulk up your defenses or sabotage enemies!

CRYSTAL CRATER

Collect Crystals and return them to your team's reactor to keep it going for as long as possible. Be the last team standing with energy in your reactor to take the win!

QUICK TIP: Only one player on your team can carry a crystal at a time, so be sure to communicate with your teammates!
