For anyone that is interested in Minecraft this is a great handbook that will walk you through stage by stage helping you to take control of the world that you are creating and really get into the game itself. The book is a true reference manual and one that I highly recommend to one and all. My nine year old daughter is a big fan of Minecraft and she just dived right into the book to learn more, which is what I love to see when it comes to books). While some of the information might be items that you already know, there is a ton of information that tucked in these pages that will both challenge you and take your Minecraft experience to the next level.*I received this for review - all opinions are my own*

It teaches you secrets like how to fight people and monsters.

My 7-year-old son is a Minecraft (on Xbox) fiend, and he loves this glossy paged, hardcover book. It's great as an instruction manual, or as a compendium that provides extra information on every aspect of the game. At 6 in. x 9 in., it's a great size for little hands, too.

Reminds me of how Nintendo and Sega games used to come with an instruction booklet back in the 80s. If you are an adult who loves Minecraft, this is a great reference and read for a commute on a train to work. This is also great for kids who play Minecraft as it gives kids a book to read on a subject they are interested in.

My son is a bit beyond beginner but he still loved it. He reads it over and over and refers to it often.But I love this book because it helped me to understand minecraft. All parents of minecraft lovers should read it.

This is the craze of the year...my grandson waited two weeks for the book while it was on reorder---but wait he did, and was overjoyedwhen it finally arrived. Of course, we don't see him anymore because he is either in his room reading it, or on the phone playing Mindccraft with his friends--- the mouse is in one hand and phone in the other..

my son has recently got into minecraft and had seen this at the local book fair and he didn't have the money for it. he begged for us to get it for him and we finally got it. the book is well made and hardcover. for the price this book exceeds my expectations and he is so happy to have it

My daughter (age 7) is really into Minecraft, and has all four paperbacks in this series (purchased individually) - Minecraft Construction Handbook, Minecraft Combat Handbook, Minecraft Redstone Handbook, and this book, The Minecraft Essential Handbook. This is her favorite book in the series.Every page is glossy with lots of great color images, with lots of screenshots. Some of the topics include things like breeding animals, surviving in the nether and the end, and gardening. There are also some character profiles, such as Enderman, Creeper, and Zombie. There are stories by gamers (such as Paul Soares Jr), who played Minecraft before chickens and calves were invented.There are lots of informative tutorials, which tell you how to craft things, such as armor, tools, and blocks.My daughter says: "This book really teaches me how to garden and helps me see

what coordinates that diamonds and emeralds are on, so I can trade with villagers. If I had to pick one book out of the four, I would pick this one."
