Delight someone special with these scented, boldly striped soaps!

Ingredients

Mini loaf pan (3" x 6") or Soap Mold of your choice (we used the square from the Geometric Shapes Mold to make the 2" square green layered soaps pictured) Petroleum jelly (to prepare mold) Ultra Clear or Olive Oil & Aloe (semi-clear) Soap Base Opaque White or Goat's Milk Soap Base Note: you will need about 8 - 10 ounces of each soap base for the mini-loaf pan soap Disposable plastic spoons (or metal spoons) for stirring soap

LorAnn Cosmetic Grade Fragrance Oil, any scent LorAnn Soap Colors

Directions

1. Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly to the inside of the mini loaf pan or mold. 2. In a pyrex measuring cup, melt soap in microwave according to package directions, using 2 - 3

ounces at a time (about 1/4 to 1/3 cup melted). For layers of equal height, use the same amount of soap base for each layer. 3. Add 3 - 5 drops of LorAnn Fragrance Oil of your choice. Add drops of soap coloring, stirring until desired color is achieved. 4. Pour melted soap into the loaf pan or mold and cool for 20 minutes. 5. Score the top with a fork, making sure score marks cover the entire length of the layer from end to end. (this helps the layers to adhere to one another) 6. Repeat, alternating colors, until the pan or mold is full. 7. Let set for about 4 hours. Release soap. If using the loaf pan or to make smaller soaps, slice into bars with a sharp, non-serrated knife.
