Risk Assessment for Public Running

Rota Superintendents are in charge. They -

• Ensure track is checked and signed off

• Decide what engines and rolling stock are to be used

• What members roles and duties are

• Are point of contact for any issues or situations that arise

It is assumed that all rolling stock and locomotives are checked before running. Specific risks created by locomotives are covered under driver training.

The above list is only a list of some of the more commonly encountered risks. Risk assessment is an ongoing process and always changing. If you think there are risks that should be added then please add the risk and send copy back to secretary.
