Sample Site Selection
All available Tier 1 sample sites must be used to collect the minimum number of required samples.
Tier 2 sampling locations can only be selected if there are not enough available Tier 1 locations to meet the minimum number of samples required to complete the sampling event.
Tier 3 sampling locations can only be selected if there are not enough available Tier 1 or Tier 2 locations to meet the minimum number of samples required to complete the sampling event.
Representative sampling locations can only be selected if there are not enough available Tier 1, Tier 2 or Tier 3 locations to meet the minimum number of samples required to complete the sampling event.
(A representative site is a site in which the plumbing materials used at that site would be commonly found at other sites served by the water system.)

• Interviews with building inspectors
