Calling the officers in Grade I of Sri Lanka Engineering Service for the interview for promotion to the Special Grade of the said service and appointing them to posts.

Reference the notification on calling applications for promotion of officers of Sri Lanka Engineering Service to the Special Grade and appointing them to posts and my letter No. ES/A/ESC/33/G- III dated 21.09.2018.

02. Arrangements have been made to hold the interview for promotion of officers of Sri Lanka Engineering Service to the Special Grade and appointing them to posts, at the office room of the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration and Disaster Management, Independence Square, Colombo 07 and you are kindly informed to attend the said interview on the due date. The time and the date on which the candidates should come for the interview are mentioned against each name of the officers in Annex 01 published herewith.

03. You are further informed that it is compulsory to bring the original copies of the following documents for the interview.

I. National Identity Card or valid Passport. II. Letter of promotion to Grade I of Sri Lanka Engineering Service (Letter of absorption into

the Grade I on super numerary basis/ substantive employee basis) III. (a) Original certificate of the fellow membership of the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka

or any other equivalent membership of an engineering institute recognized by the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka. or (b) Certificate of the Masters Degree/Post Graduate Diploma IV. Documents required to prove the qualifications of (b 01) and (b 02) of the marking scheme. V. The power point presentation made as per (b 03) of the marking scheme and the hard copy of the same.

04. Since officers in Grade I of Sri Lanka Engineering Service are promoted to Special Grade on the order of the seniority and merits, it is emphasized that the participation in the above interview does not necessarily mean that the officer has satisfied the qualifications to be promoted to Special Grade and be appointed to a post of Sri Lanka Engineering Service.

05. It is kindly informed that, since no any other date is given for an officer who does not appear for the interview on the due date, no such requests shall be considered and it is compulsory to produce the relevant documents at the interview.
