The Central Water Authority, a parastatal body operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Energy and Public Utilities is the sole undertaker for the supply of water for domestic, commercial and industrial purposes throughout Mauritius, wishes to recruit suitably qualified and experience candidates to join its team on Contract basis. | | | |

| | |(i) Fellowship of either a professional accounting body recognized by the CCAB |

| | |(Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies) and |

| | | |

| | |(ii) be registered with the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants (MIPA) in accordance with Section 51 (2) of|

| | |the Financial Reporting Act 2004; |

| | | |

| | |OR |

| | | |

| | |(i) Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors; and |

| | | |

| | |Be holder of a license issued by the Financial Reporting Council; |

| | | |

| | |OR |

| | | |

| | |an alternative qualification to A and B above acceptable to the Central Water Board; |

| | | |

| | |A minimum of eight years proven managerial experience in risk and audit; |

| | | |

| | |An in-depth knowledge of auditing standards, internal control/risk management techniques and related legislations; |

| | | |

| | |Strong business acumen with knowledge of financial, operational and information systems; |

| | | |

| | |Ability to provide strategic and visionary advice on internal control matters; |

| | | |

| | |Be pro-active and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines; |

| | | |

| | |Excellent leadership, managerial and organizing skills; |

| | | |

| | |Good analytical, numerical , communication and investigation skills; |

| | | |

| | |High degree of confidentiality, complete integrity and a high sense of personal and professional ethics |

Note

Candidates who possess an equivalent qualification are requested to submit an Equivalence Certificate from the Tertiary Education Commission or Mauritius Qualification Authority as appropriate, failing which the application will not be considered.

MODE OF APPLICATION

Qualified candidates should submit their applications on the prescribed form available at the Human Resources Department, CWA Head Office, St Paul or forms can be downloaded from the CWA website, together with a comprehensive CV and photocopies of all academic and professional certificates plus evidence of work experience claimed and a copy of their National Identity Card.

CLOSING DATE

Applications duly filled in, should reach the Registry, Central Water Authority, Head Office, Royal Road, St Paul not later than 15.45 hrs on Wednesday 19 October 2016.

Note:

i) The post applied for should be clearly indicated on the application form.

ii) The age limit for post on contract basis is 65 years

iii) Only the best qualified candidates will be called for interview.

iv) Late applications and applications not made on the prescribed form will not be considered.

v) Incomplete, inadequate or inaccurate filling of the application form and non-submission of photocopies of certificates or any other document required may entail elimination of the applicant.
