Applications are invited from suitably qualified nationals of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago for employment, on contract, for a period of three (3) years in the following positions in the Ministry of Public Utilities: CUSTOMER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE Job summary The incumbent will be responsible for facilitating cordial, pleasant and productive interfaces between the Ministry and its clients in its thrust to be recognized as the service centric hub for the provision of utility and environmental management services in Trinidad and Tobago. Functions also include working as a key team member with all members of the Ministry's staff.

Main Duties and Responsibilities Makes and receives telephone calls on behalf of the Ministry of Public Utilities Screens calls based on subject matter and direct clients to the relevant Officer/Department, Division or Agency Provides advice to clients on services provided by the Ministry of Public Utilities Facilitates the conduct of pleasant interfaces between the Ministry and its clients

Minimum Experience and Training Evidence of specialized training in Customer Relations Management Five (5) G.C.E or CXC Ordinary Levels

Two (2) years customer relations management experience Or any equivalent combination of training and experience

CUSTOMER LIAISON OFFICER Job Summary The incumbent will be required to assist in the establishment and maintenance of a customer complaint and feedback mechanism, including performance targets, for response and resolution.

Main Duties and Responsibilities Builds and maintains effective communications channel within the Utilities Communicates customer complaints and grievances to the Utilities with a view to timely resolution Meets with stakeholders to disseminate information relevant to service delivery matters Conducts customer satisfaction surveys, collects data and provides feedback

Minimum Experience and Training Considerable experience in customer relations matters and training as evidenced by possession of a Degree in the Social Sciences from a recognized University supplemented with certification in communications or any combination of training and experience.

RESEARCH ANALYST Job Summary The incumbent will be responsible for conducting research on a variety of subject matters with a view to informing policy. Work involves informing the design of data analysis to inform the preparation of preliminary reports for submission to the Research Analyst II. Work also involves the provision of advisory services and services on Ministerial Committees.

Main Duties and Responsibilities Conducts desk and field research into a wide variety of topics pertinent to the Ministry's functions Prepares preliminary report on research findings for submission to the Research Analyst II Assists in planning, organizing and conducting surveys to inform policy formation for the utility sector Researches Cabinet decisions, circular memoranda and other policy documents to inform the output of various Units/Divisions of the Ministry

Minimum Experience and Training At least two (2) years' experience in research work, and training as evidenced by possession of a recognized Degree in the Social Sciences with courses in Public Sector Management or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT Job Summary The incumbent will be required to give administrative support to the Procurement Specialist in the procurement of goods and services for the Ministry.

Main Duties and Responsibilities Complies information and records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of material Verifies name and specifications of purchase requests Consults catalogs and interviews suppliers to obtain prices and specifications Complies and maintains procurement records of items purchased or transferred between departments, costings/prices, deliveries and inventories and prepares reports as may be required.

Minimum Experience and Training Two (2) years in the procurement of goods and services in a public service environment and training as evidenced by possession of five (5) GCE/CXC Level passes including Mathematics and English.

CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER Job Summary The incumbent is required to contribute to the achievement of the communications targets of the Ministry of Public Utilities and assist in monitoring their implementation. Duties include coordinating media relations strategies, producing and disseminating materials for communicating information about the Ministry and its services; coordinating the content of the intranet or external website and the production of a quarterly newsletter; disseminating reports and publications; and maintain an updated database of contacts and an effective communication system within the Ministry. Depending on work assignment, the incumbent will be required to perform duties in one or more of the Communications functional areas.

Main Duties and Responsibilities Assists in tracking developments in the Ministry's sector nationally and globally Develops and implements marketing, media placement and distribution strategies for the Ministry of Public Utilities Develops and manages internal communication activities which involve, engage and inform all employees, utilizing appropriate communication tools Organizes and manages press, radio and television interviews

Minimum Experience and Training Minimum two (2) years' experience in Corporate Communications or Public Relation, including web design and development, preferably in the Public Sector Training as evidenced by a recognized University Degree in Communications Studies or a related discipline
