Overview

MidAmerican Energy Company has created an inspection website where you can enter your approval for inspections. This document provides procedures to get set up and also procedures for using the website.

Access to the website

MidAmerican Energy's customer/design technicians or their administrative assistants need to set up access for you before you can use the website. These are the employees you have always worked with. Once your access has been set up, you will receive an email from MidAmerican Energy with a link and a computer-generated password to use to open the website.

Important! Save this link somewhere, because you need it to enter inspections into the website.

If your email address changes, you will have to contact the customer/design technician or person you have always worked with to set up new access for you.

Inspector firsttime use

The first time you click on the Inspections website link you will enter your email address as the Username and the computer-generated password provided in the email you received.

Important! Your email address must be entered in lower case.

Example of email received:

Your Inspector account has been created with MidAmerican.

Inspector firsttime use, (continued)

You will be prompted to change your password. Your password must be at least six to 12 characters long with at least one number and one special character included in it.

Spaces and a few special characters are not allowed in your password. If you use one of the special characters that is not allowed, you will receive a message stating which characters cannot be used. Example:

You will also be asked to submit three security questions and three answers that only you would know. If you forget your password, you will be asked one of your questions and you will have to provide your answer to create a new password.

Follow the procedure below to access the Inspections website.

1 Log in to the website using the following link.



Result: The following Log In window displays.

2 Enter your email address, (Username) and password in the appropriate fields.

Note: Check the Remember me? check box and the website will retain your User ID on the device you used to log in. 3 Click the Log In push button.
