Please join the Stewardship Commi ee and fellow parishioners for a celebra on of Candlemas, on the Feast of the Presenta on of Our Lord. One of the oldest feasts, celebrated since the 4 century AD in Jerusalem, this feast commemorates the Presenta on of Our Lord at the Temple. Our Blessed Mother asked Elizabeth Kindelmann, a humble Hungarian widow and mother of six, in 1962 to celebrate this feast in our churches and introduce the devo on of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

6:45 pm: Holy Family Chapel- Blessing of the homemade candles (from the remnants of our sanctuary candles) and any others brought from home 7:00 pm: Candlelight procession to the church for Holy Mass

Blessed candles, as well as blessed Flame of Love materials, will be available for par cipants to take home at the end of Mass. "On Candlemas (February 2), my chosen workers will hand each other a candle. In this way, the Flame of Love will be a living fire in their hearts. Prepare everything so that it will spread like wildfire." (Our Blessed Mother

Women's Bible Study - Life of the Beloved and St. Teresa of Calcu a's Varanasi Le er

St. Mary's Women's Bible Study will be reading two works. The first, Life of the Beloved, by Fr. Henri Nouwen, is a call to know yourself as God's beloved: you are formed and chosen by God to be His child. This short, powerful book describes the ways God's grace enables you to embrace both your own unique blessing and brokenness to become a gi to others. The second is the Varanasi Le er, wri en by St. Teresa of Calcu a to her Missionaries of Charity community. "Jesus wants me to tell you again, how much is the love He has for each one of you - beyond all that you can imagine...Jesus Himself must be the one to say to you "I Thirst." We will use study ques ons developed by the Abiding Together podcast to explore both of these works.

We will meet on Tuesday mornings in Assump on Hall at 9:30 am from January 23, 2024 to March 26, 2024. On snowy or icy days, we will follow the L-S school district schedule. If school is delayed or cancelled, we will postpone our mee ng.

As each of the 13 sessions are "self-contained," you may join the series at any point and do not have to a end in sequence. You will find encouragement and help whenever you begin.
