The Committee on Mission and Witness2020 Session Mission Partnership and Hunger Ministry Grant ApplicationThe Presbytery of Geneva lives to support and equip congregations and leadersto be Christ in the Finger Lakes and the world.The Mission and Witness Committee will consider projects which may be a specific new project of a local congregation, or may be a project/agency/ ministry which is an extension of that congregation’s service in their wider community. The purpose of the grant program is to encourage congregations to engage in mission which serve the needs of people within the regional boundaries of the Presbytery. Funding is ordinarily limited to $5000 per project and is for one year only.CRITERIA: Endorsed by the session of a Presbytery of Geneva congregation.Demonstrates a clear connection between the congregation and the local communityMakes a significant difference in the lives of peopleHave a reasonable chance of successIs measurable in terms of outcomes or benefitsDemonstrates a variety of funding sourcesPreference will be shown to new congregational initiatives that further the mission of the congregation and involve people of the communityThe application deadline for 2020 funding is August 3, 2020.Submit applications as Word documents (.doc or .docx) electronically to missionandwitness@Need assistance or have questions?
