Confronting all three certifications from (ABS) American Bureau of Shipping’s “Marinized” version of ISO (International Organization for Standardization) criteria is a taunting challenge Reinauer Transportation confidently accepted. Reinauer earned and now proudly carries the prestigious ABS SAFETY, QUALITY and ENVIRONMENTAL honors. Their first ATB (Articulated Tug & Barge), TUG NICOLE LEIGH REINAUER underwent and passed an intensive audit. She now represents the fleet as an “SQE” icon. Reinauer has been a marine petroleum transporter since 1923, and has established a trust in this industry that holds strong over time. These three simple letters “SQE” have confirmed their efforts.

Reinauer is a long-standing loyal member of The American Waterways Operators (AWO) and The Responsible Carrier Program (RCP). Holding a membership with AWO/RCP is a respected title they intend to maintain.

Reinauer Transportation has also accomplished high recognition with SUNOCO Inc., being the first and only Tug & Barge Company globally with full compliance to their Operations Excellence Management System (OEMS). This was bestowed upon them when the QUALITY aspect of class was received in 2007 by the American Bureau of Shipping. Yet another global acknowledgement came when one of their valued customers informed them with recognition of being the first barge company in the world to be listed on the OCIMF-TMSA (Oil Companies International Marine Forum-Tanker Management Self Assessment).

Numerous honors and commendations for safety commitments and marine transportation services have been awarded over the years to Reinauer Trans. from Wartime recognition during WWII, to vessel of the year award from their prominent customers. Several other awards from The CSA (Chamber of Shipping of America) ranging from highest honors in safety and environmental achievements, to several Jones F. Devlin awards. Reinauer Transportation Co. has stepped forward to assist in times of need responding to the USCG’s NY Sector call on September 11th 2001. In addition, a measurable relief effort was made to Hurricane Katrina victims in 2005. The company constantly contributes to their clients and the community with their evolving diversity and continues to do so in their daily operations.
