The Usher Board Ministry is a service ministry comprised of adult baptized believers ranging from the age of 18 years (once graduated from high school) and older.

Our purpose is to assist the pastor, members, and visitors who may need assistance during church service.

For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell

NEW TABERNACLE VISION STATEMENT

"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions; And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit." Joel 2:28-29 It is by the power of The Holy Spirit that the New

Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church will engage its disciples and ministries in a continuous exercise of faith, obedience and love.

Furthermore, we are bound by the Spirit of The Lord to enter into a relationship of intimacy and truth with God-- through Jesus Christ.

As we illustrate our faith, obedience and love, we will maintain our lives using the gifts bestowed upon each of us by God.

In doing so, we offer ourselves as living sacrifices for the purpose of worshipping God.

Therefore, as we are led and directed by The Holy Spirit, we will always be made available to serve Him.

NEW TABERNACLE MISSION STATEMENT

even unto the end of the world." Matthew 28:19-20 The New Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church having

been founded upon the foundation of Jesus Christ has as its mission: To actively participate in the spiritual growth and

development of its church discipleship. To be joined together by the spirit of God and pursue

areas of ministry that would provide support and comfort to those that are in need. To establish and maintain a cohesive spiritual and working relationship with the Pastor whom God has placed as Undershepherd. To be a Godly force within our community, city, state and country. To adhere to and abide by the complete Word of God which is The Holy Bible.

The USHER BOARD Ministry . . . Serving as one member of the Body

The USHER BOARD Ministry of New Tabernacle consists of men and women who are diligent in their duties of offering assistance at the door, helping the congregation with seating, facilitating the offerings, as well as other services that contribute to the worship service.

This ministry accompanies the pastor along with other ministries to other churches when the pastor is called upon to deliver the Word of God.

The USHER BOARD asks its members for a dues/donation of $5.00 each month.

Participation in the Usher Board Ministry

is open to male and female adults

who are 18 years old and over.

Meetings are held every other Thursday at

6:00 p.m.

Evangelizing!

The Usher Board Ministry regularly visits the Rainbow Shelter of Gary. They offer donations of clothing as well as toys, household appliances and school supplies

Additional fellowships and outings are always being planned. Your ideas are welcome. So come on out and join us at any time.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your

bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may

prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2

It Takes A Village

Each month, the Usher Board Ministry meets with the participants and supervisors of the Junior Usher Board Ministry.

The goal is to synergize the duties, procedures and practices of the total ministry of Ushers. This is also a perfect opportunity to reinforce the training and support given to the youth serving in this capacity.
