PRELIMINARY PROJECT PROPOSAL

2016/17 MLA ANNUAL PROJECT CALL

Application Process The MLA annual project call has two stages:

Stage 1 -

Applicants submit a Preliminary Project Proposal (this form) addressing the 2016/17 research, development and adoption (RD&A) priorities described in the Terms of Reference. Producer panels comprising sheepmeat and grassfed beef producer members of the North Australia Beef Research Council (NABRC), the Southern Australia Meat Research Council (SAMRC) and the Western Australia Livestock Research Council (WALRC) will work with MLA to shortlist proposals against the selection criteria set out in the Terms of Reference. Write this application in plain English for a well-informed, sheepmeat and/or grassfed beef producer. Avoid jargon and be succinct.

Stage 2 -

Should your Preliminary Project Proposal be successful, MLA will invite applicants to submit a Full Project Proposal in March 2016 for technical review by an expert panel, then review by producer panels and the Red Meat Panel. Final project approval will be subject to contractual agreement between the applicant/s and MLA.

This Preliminary Project Proposal form should be completed in a maximum of four (4) pages. Proposals must be submitted in electronic format to: projectcall@.au. Preliminary Project Proposals will be acknowledged and recorded on the MLA project information system. Applicants will be advised in writing of the success or failure of their Preliminary Project Proposal in March 2016.

Timing of Application Applications must be submitted electronically to MLA at: projectcall@.au by midnight Sunday 14 February 2016.
