IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:
Meetings
Christian Education Committee: The Christian Education Committee will meet at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2007, in the Church Library. The committee is requesting that all ministries who have events scheduled through May to also meet with the CEC.
Church -Wide Programs
Annual Spring Institute & Revival: The Union Chapel Annual Spring Institute & Revival will begin on Monday, March 26, 2007, through Wednesday, March 28, 2007. Sis. Eleanor J. Hillard will be the Institute Facilitator at 6:00 p.m. nightly and Pastor Stanley T. Hillard, Sr. will be the guest evangelist each evening beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Bible Study and Fellowship: All young adults ages 18-30 are invited to participate in Bible Study and Fellowship at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2007, at the Family Life Center. For more information, please contact the Church Office or email Kimfloyd78@
Music Ministry: The Union Chapel Music Ministry is in the process of forming a Church Orchestra. If you are a gifted instrumentalist willing to volunteer your time and experience in the ministry, please complete the interest form located at the Welcome Center and leave the completed form in the envelope labeled “Orchestra”.
Reminder: All Easter production participants are reminded that rehearsal will take place each Sunday following the 10:45 a.m. worship service.
Memorial Day Trip: A Church-wide trip to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is planned for Memorial Day Weekend beginning Saturday, May 26 through Monday, May 28, 2007. The final payment is due on April 1st. Payments are now being taken on Monday and Friday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Family Life Center or you may leave your payment in the Church Office between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily. For further details, please check the Church Announcement Board or contact Bro. Orish Carter.
Youth Programs
Tutorial Program: The Union Chapel Tutorial Program meets each Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. in the Tutorial Room.
Summer Camp: The Union Chapel Christian Academy Summer Camp (Camp Ambassador) is accepting applications for workers. We are looking for workers 25 and older with either teaching experience or recreational experience. We will hire 7 workers in these positions. We will also hire 2 college students as support staff. And lastly, we will hire 4 helpers ages 12-15 to further assist. Camp Ambassador is also accepting applications for student enrollment ages 6-12 beginning Monday, March 19, 2007, in the Academy Office. Please pick up applications for employment in the Church Office and pick up applications for enrollment in the Academy Office.
Christian Academy Enrollment: The Academy will also begin accepting student enrollment applications for grades Kindergarten through 12th grade for the 2007-2008 School Year. The applications will be available in the Academy Office beginning Monday, March 19th. Registration will last through April 30th.
Passage Ministry: Because of the overwhelming number of Passage participants this year, all of the Passage classes will be held at the Orange Drive location each Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Phase I girls will meet in Classroom 9, Phase I boys in Classroom 7, Phase II girls in the Conference Room, and Phase II boys in Classroom 1-1A. Parents, please drop off your candidate(s) at the Orange Drive location. Immediately following class, we will provide transportation from Orange Drive to Winchester Road for Mid-week Bible Study. We will drop off the candidates behind the Church at the basement entrance. If you have any questions, please contact Sis. Cassandra Pitts.

DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR BIBLE IS?: Members and visitors, please check the Church Announcement Board for the lost Bibles list. If you know someone on the lost Bible list, please contact the person so they can claim their Bible. After 30 days, Bibles will be donated to others. For further information, please contact Sis. Mary Slack. Note: Please write your name and telephone number in your Bible so it can be returned to you if you misplace it. If your telephone number is unlisted, please write your name in your Bible.
The Union Chapel Church Library is open every Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.
Sick List and Bereavements: All members are requested to please report hospitalizations and bereavements to the Church Office as soon as possible.
Announcements: Weekly announcements should be e-mailed to rparksrice@unionchapel- no later than Wednesday of each week. Please label your announcement as Church Announcement.
Newsletter: Submit articles to the Herald Newsletter to Newsletter@unionchapel- by the 10th of each month.

Congratulations to Bro. Andrew and Sis. Annette Biddle who celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary on Monday, March 12, 2007. May God continue to bless the Biddle family.
Congratulations to Min. Gerar and Sis. Cassandra Pope who had a son born on Monday, March 12, 2007, in Memphis, Tennessee. Gerar D. Pope II weighed in at 11 lbs. 10.4 oz. and 22 inches long. Deacon Robert and Sis. Bettye Pope are the blessed grandparents. May God continue to bless the Pope family.
Congratulations to Min. Lennon and Sis. Margarette Martin who celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on Thursday, March 15, 2007. May God continue to bless the Martin family.

Mrs. Janie Mae Bracy, the aunt of Bro. Gerald Lewis, passed on Monday, March 12, 2007, in Mobile, Alabama. Funeral services were held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 17, 2007, at the Faith City Catheral Church located at 521 Mobile Street in Mobile. The Memorial Funeral Home located at State Highway 45, in Mobile handled the final arrangements.
